Brush maintenance

Remove the brush, and remove any dirt or hair caught in it as necessary. If the brush is damaged, replace it with a new brush following the steps below.

  • When cleaning the brush, do not pull the brush forcefully. Doing so may damage the brush.
  • If the bottom of the machine is dirty, wipe with a dry cloth.

Removing the brush

1. Stow the steering handle (⇒see 'Steering handle')

2. Hold the lift handle with one hand, and hold the handle down with another hand.

  • Please operate with two people.

3. Gently lay the machine down so that the dustbin faces upward.

Rubber pad will support and stabilize the machine.

  • Please be cautious so the handle does not stick out of the machine.
  • Try to avoid letting the machine fall or turn over on its side.
  • Concrete or other hard surfaces will scratch the machine; place the machine on carpeting or other soft and flat surface.

4. Press the brush to the right, and pull the left end out toward you to remove

5. Remove the right end of the brush

Mounting a new brush

1. Check the marks on the left and right ends of the new brush

  • When the machine is laid down with the front side facing upwards, you will see the sockets of the brush case, both right and left, have the same marks as the brush.

2. Attach the right end of the brush in the socket with the matching marking in the brush Compartment

3. Push the brush in on the right, and attach the left end of the brush in the socket with the matching marking

  • Turn the brush, and check that both ends of the brush are securely attached in the sockets.

4. Hold the lift handle with one hand, and hold the handle down with another hand.

5. Holding the lift handles by both hands, gently raise the machine

  • Please be cautious so the handle does not stick out of the machine.
